FISC Announce Enhancements To Assist CPD Monitoring And Launches Classroom Based CPD Training For Its Motor Dealer Partners
As part of FISC’s ongoing commitment to having the most user-friendly, value-adding and reliable compliance tool for the motor industry, we are pleased to announce a new Tracker system feature which will allow all Training and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) completed to be logged and monitored for staff involved in insurance distribution activities.
The Insurance Distribution Directive (IDD) requires all employees to complete a minimum of 15 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) per annum. This is to ensure that services are provided to customers by competent employees with the appropriate and necessary skills & knowledge and who have the customer’s best interests and needs at the core of everything they do.
The new Tracker functionality, will ensure that it is easy to log training completed by all staff and manage, monitor and report on the achievement of CPD hours all in one place, whatever the employee’s role or responsibility.
Further communications will follow shortly regarding the introduction of some brand new classroom based compliance workshops which will be delivered by FISC in the New Year to assist dealers in achieving the 15 hours of CPD for all affected employees.
Simon Young Managing Director said “We see this as a very positive move. The new Tracker update will provide Senior Management with a simple tool giving them a complete oversight of their CPD activity. It will mean that staff are continuously up-skilling, leading to better outcomes for customers and a fairer and more effective marketplace for all. In addition to the new functionality, in January 2019 we will be publishing a full diary of compliance workshops to commence in April 2019 to assist both TRACS members and our other dealer partners in achieving the required 15 hours of CPD for all affected employees. This initiative as well as the system enhancements again shows why we are the No 1 choice for all motor dealer or group’s compliance needs.”
