The Opportunity:

The post holder will have experience working in the retail motor industry, with specific knowledge of motor finance.  They will work closely with FISC’s development and client support teams as well as the senior management team to provide vision, focus and direction in developing our retention products.

The successful candidate will become an expert in all of our software products, with a clear understanding of what we aim to deliver and a strong focus on setting and achieving delivery goals.

In addition, applicants with experience in software development lifecycles, in particular Agile development methodologies would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be given.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define the product vision, road-map and growth opportunities using their motor industry knowledge
  • Maintain an awareness of industry trends and competitor activity
  • Plan and prioritise product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Lead the product release planning and set expectations for delivery of new functionality
  • Providing direction to the Agile development team
  • Working with stakeholders, create detailed product requirements and user stories
  • Actively work with development teams in removing impediments impacting the completion of sprint goals

The skills required are:

  • Experience of the retail motor industry or motor finance
  • Ability to make considered decisions quickly and with confidence, in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience of defining KPI in respect to feature impact
  • Experience of writing detailed business cases
  • Exposure to agile working methods
  • Delivery and detail focused
  • Commercially minded
  • A collaborative nature
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confidence to host meetings and present at all levels
