Capture & Consent Rates Reach Highest Levels Since GDPR For Dealers
A recent piece of research carried out by Marketing Delivery shows that UK car dealers customer contact ‘capture and consent’ rates have reached their highest level since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018.
Data was examined from more than 400,000 inbound enquiries on new and used vehicles made to UK car dealers in Q1 of 2018 (before the introduction of GDPR) and during the first three months of 2019. The analysis showed that capture rates on email addresses have grown slightly, from 88% to 89% whilst mobile number capture has only dropped slightly from 80% to 79%. Analysis also showed the rate of contact consent now required by businesses wishing to send marketing communications to prospective and existing customers which fell dramatically following GDPR’s introduction has now returned to its highest point.
